Winter CSA

Shareholder Benefits

The basics: All shareholders will receive produce every other week in November and December and every third week in January and February for a total of 7 pick-ups of local organic produce.

Produce will include approximately 20 different winter storage crops including onions, garlic, carrots, winter squash, and potatoes, as well as fresh salad greens, apples from a nearby organic orchard, and maybe a mid-winter surprise or two.

Who is growing the food: We have partnered up with a handful of other organically certified growers in Maine to provide you with the greatest selection of quality produce. The wonderful family farms that are collaborating with Wolf Pine Farm to grow and store all of the fruits and veggies are located as far away as Montville (right down the road from MOFGA.s Common Ground Fair) and as close as a ten minute drive from Wolf Pine Farm itself. Your participation in the Winter CSA will provide winter income to a number of Maine farm families.

Purchase from the farm store: Shareholders have access to our Farm Store where we stock locally produced organic cheese, milk, meat, eggs, honey, maple syrup, bulk items, crafts, and more. Eat locally all year long!

Spend time at the farm: Wolf Pine Farm is beautiful and fun in the summer, but wintertime holds its own charm. Bring your cross-country skis and snowshoes and take a trek across the snowy fields.

The Details
Winter CSA Shares cost $400 and each pick-up will contain approximately 25 pounds of produce.

Shares are picked up at the farm. When you arrive, your fruits and veggies are laid out for you in baskets and bins along with signs to indicate what and how much to take. Please bring your own bags.

If you are interested in finding a group of people to share the driving with, we can help organize groups of shareholders who live in the same area with planning pickup groups.

Pickup Days
We are still working to pick the exact dates and times for the seven winter distributions. We would like to know what time and day of the week you prefer. Please make a note on your application if you prefer:
