Farm Partners
Our Farm Partners
The meat in your shares comes from a small circle of partner farms we know and trust, where animals are raised with care by people we know by name. We focus on what matters most to us: animals raised well, and food we’re proud to pass along to you. These partnerships have held steady since we stepped back from raising our own pigs and chickens, and we’re grateful to the many members who’ve trusted our judgment season after season.
Pastures of Plenty — Jackson, Maine
Pastures of Plenty raises pigs on open pasture in Jackson, Maine. While the pork isn’t certified organic — the piglets don’t come from a certified source — the pigs are raised as close to that standard as we can manage: fed certified organic, non-GMO grain alongside everything they forage, with no antibiotics. In summer they live entirely on pasture; in colder months they have access to both barn and outdoors.
Snug Valley Farm — East Hardwick, Vermont
A family farm in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, raising grass-fed beef since 1989. Their beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished — tender, juicy, and healthy, with no hormones, stimulants, or additives. The Nottermann family is deeply committed to sustainability: since 2018, the farm has produced all of its own electricity from wind and solar, and they source animals and supplies from other family-run businesses to keep the local farming community strong.
Tide Mill Organic Farm — Edmunds, Maine
Tide Mill has been in the Bell family since 1765, and today the 7th, 8th, and 9th generations work the land together on the northeastern coast of Maine. It’s a certified organic farm, raising chicken, turkey, pork, and beef free of synthetic chemicals, hormones, and additives. Their approach centers on diversity and ecology — honoring soil and livestock as living beings, minimizing off-farm inputs, and prioritizing the comfort and natural behavior of their animals.
