About Shares

About Shares (and Shareholders and CSA)

A share is a collection of foods that comes from our farm (and sometimes some of the foods come from our partner farms).  A share might come all at once as one box of food (like our seasonal meat shares) or you might receive your share over an entire season or seasons (like our summer vegetable or fall/winter vegetable shares).

A shareholder (that’s you we hope!) has made a financial commitment to support our farm.  In turn we commit to provide our shareholders with the good foods we grow and raise for the shares.  And together we are …

A CSA.   That stands for “Community Supported Agriculture”.  This is a term for the whole enterprise – farmers and shareholders – all doing their part to support local, sustainable agriculture.
